EQUIP

The second part of our 3-part mission to help Nicaraguans thrive, is EQUIP. The primary ways we help accomplish this are through education and discipleship.

Our partners at Raising Hope and Young Life are teaching the good news of the Gospel in fun and engaging ways to children and youth. We support club meetings for Young Life where students participate in games, skits, songs, and a message. Raising Hope offers several teaching programs a month, after they serve a meal, that teach children about Jesus through songs, games, and Bible stories. Raising Hope also has a big dream to one day open a community center with a park, library, kitchen to make and serve meals, and a space for tutoring students. We’re excited to support them on this endeavor!

In regards to academic education, we hope to soon create a sponsorship and scholarship program for grade-school and college students. Education breaks down barriers to opportunity, so we want to make education more accessible. In Nicaragua, because of the costs to purchase school uniforms and supplies to go to school, education isn’t a guarantee. Especially in rural areas. We are working to ensure all kids have a chance to go to school.
