PARTNERS
RAISING HOPE

At Thrive Nica, we love to partner with and invest in programs and people that are already making a difference in their communities. We’ve learned that overseas non-profit work is most successful when it’s founded in development and empowerment––to find what’s already working, and invest in that, rather than starting from scratch or trying to reinvent the wheel. To support those that are already making a tangible difference, through methods and ideas that work best within their cultural context.
Raising Hope Nicaragua is one of those programs. Oscar and Yiksa have been serving communities for years by providing meals, Gospel-based teaching and educational support to children and families living in some of the most poverty-stricken and remote regions of Nicaragua.
They have big dreams to create a community center type building in the future where they can provide meals, tutoring, Gospel teaching, and a safe and enjoyable place for kids to play.
We are honored to partner with them and the work they are doing, and can’t wait to see how their impact will grow with our support! Will you join us on our mission to support them by setting up a donation today? Investing in the lives of other people is one of the best investments you can make!
YOUNG LIFE

Another one of our partners is Young Life (Vida Joven) Masatepe. Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world. The first club in Masatepe, Club Lobo, was established in 2017. There are now two clubs that meet weekly in Masatepe, plus more that are in the planning stages. We are incredibly thankful for our leaders who spend time meeting youth where they are at and showing the love of Jesus.
An important aspect of Young Life is camp. Young Life Nicaragua is blessed to have a camp up in the mountains in the northwest part of the country. Twice a year, youth are invited to the best four days of their life at New Campers Camp, and then can attend a follow-up camp a few months later. A future endeavor of Thrive Nica will be sponsorships to send a youth to camp! Set up your monthly donation today to help cover weekly expenses to keep clubs running in Masatepe.
Martín and Iveth

Martín and Iveth have been fully committed to serving the skateboarding community since February 2022, reaching out through various initiatives. They also engage with individuals involved in the action sports movement, including the families of skaters and local government representatives, to encourage support for the kids participating in these sports.
Together, they founded the ministry known as Sobre Ruedas, initially focusing on the community in Rivas. Over time, the Lord opened doors for them to extend their reach, allowing them to serve and share the Gospel in other cities, such as Diriamba, León, and Managua. While currently based in Masaya, Martín and Iveth continue to serve in Rivas on weekends. They have also started gathering with local skaters in Masaya once a week for Bible study.
In August 2023, they launched Café con Dios, a ministry that incorporates Bible journaling meetings. These gatherings take place at their home in Rivas and in local coffee shops, where they meet with different girls from the area. Some of these young women attend church, while others do not, but incorporating creativity into Bible study has proven to be an effective way to connect with them and share the message of Christ.
The primary goal of Martín and Iveth’s ministry is to help both the boys and girls they serve connect with Jesus through a variety of outreach strategies. Most importantly, their vision is to make disciples, guiding young people toward a deeper relationship with Christ.
